If it's a legit medical thing, don't pitch and keep your money.

If the team doc says you can play, but your people (and that can include your personal doc) say nah due to "management", then turn your money back in.

I'd imagine that can be hard to distinguish sometimes, but that's the world we live in now.

As far as sports injuries go, pitchers' arms are probably the trickiest to make the call on when you should play.  Wouldn't be surprised if he's getting conflicting opinions from the docs.

He's watching his brother's career possibly end if he has TJ a second time and he's coming off of it himself. Doubtful he would rise much on draft boards if he pitches some this season. But some boomer says he needs to risk it for the team!

I think a lot of these college pitchers are trying too hard to throw 95-100 MPH instead of throwing for placement of pitches at a slower speed. I think this probably causes a lot of injuries.

In recent years I've pulled a lot of hair out wondering why we liked to start out so many sequences with 2-0 or 3-0 counts.  I mean, we're not throwing more pitches than anyone else so that's really just a random consideration... but it still vexes me.  And I love Hobbs in a totally heteronormative "he's a really good pitching coach" kind of way.
