Kozeal has been a great Hog. Kid can hit and was asked to play out of position the last two years. Never complained and did a serviceable job at both. Seems like a good kid too.

This season seemed to wear him down, and he really didn't seem to like this team at all judging by his comments throughout the season.

I think Vitello gets another year from SF unless he's absolutely miserable (which may be the case). Giants fans are pretty adamant that Posey was open about how this was a multi-year process. 

What should happen is a redux of what happened with Norm and DVH where Norm announces his retirement before his last season and spends the year backchanneling to set up his successor. I'd prefer that successor to be TV, but I could see that being a problem given our fan and administration's penchant for maintaining this pious "we do things the right way" nonsense, and Vitello is completely different from DVH.

My list would be:
1. Vitello
2. Wes
3. Curry

I'm always skeptical hiring the hot mid major name. Especially when you would be replacing someone like DVH. Curry may be a solid coach but our program should target someone more proven than Curry.

I'd take Wes over TV every day of the week and twice on Sunday.  But, both are good options given we need a proven winner who can build and sustain success (Wes may be light on the sustain at this point).

We probably hire UALR's coach based soley on this years run.

I don't get why you'd prefer Wes to TV that strongly, but they're both damned good coaches.  Wes will win one sooner than later...possibly this year.  As long as Georgia keeps giving him enough money to churn his roster each year Wes will keep winning there.  He's probably in the best spot for elite talent in the country.

It is definetly splitting hairs but I like a pitching coach first and Wes has shown he can put together a roster of good hitters.  TV's teams have had good pitchers and hitters.  Plus, he has a national championship.  Truth is, on paper TV is probably the more logical choice.

I had never heard that before either.  I don't know if it was leaving on bad terms or just his personality rubbing someone the wrong way.  If that someone happened to be Yurachek then I'm all for hiring him.

His post game interview, it seemed like he knew we didn't have much. I don't think he really liked this team either. But, he coached them up and trotted them out there anyway. He hates the portal, but knows that is where you get mens. Hopefully, he gets some for next year.
