Everyone seems to be focusing on offense which really isn't the problem right now. We need somebody to come in and fix the shitty defense we have. I don't know if BMFP can fix that.

As bad as the defense has been we were in a position to win these games (or take the lead) thru offense and shit the bed each time. Both very preventable fumbles by better execution. Giving them a td to end the half basically killed us. The early INT ended up being a score for them I believe so with a clean offense and no DPI we're cruising into half probably up 35-3 or some shit.

Defensively I feel like we are using poor technique in each position group which in turn is getting us into a lot of penalty situations. Lazy fuckers reaching and grabbing. In truth yesterday we were often times there to make the play but it would be 1 guy at a time and very little to no pursuit to the ball. I noted this as a concern after the Bama Aggie game. Evidently there's not a swinging dick on the roster that can make a fucking open field tackle.

We also failed to capitalize on a gifted onside kick that we recovered after the first series.

I'll add one more thing that might push BP over the top.  He will be cheap.  First, they won't have to buy him out and presumably much of the offensive staff.  Second, he will probably take the job for the same money or even less than Sam is currently making.

I have a hard time believing he's "working the phones"...that sounds like high school girl gossip. There may be people working the phones calling him to feel him out. There may be the same set of folks in his corner that got him back are actively trying to make this happen.

I am firmly on the BMFP bandwagon. He has been the one constant positive on this staff since his arrival.

During his tenure as OC, Kendall Briles' best year was a 470 ypg average. Petrino averaged 459.5 ypg last year and is currently averaging 552.0 ypg after 4 games. He has molded TG into the #8 national (#2 SEC) in passing yards and the leading QB rusher in the nation. Mike Washington is the #5 rusher in the SEC (TG is #3) and Blake is #4 in receiving yds.

People speak of a "kinder, gentler" BMFP but I guarandamntee you that not one single player will be seen loafing on either side of the ball if he becomes HC. We might be playing true freshmen and scout teamers but they will be hustling.

I just don't know if he wants to deal with the cast of idiots overseeing the Athletic Department anymore.

BMFP stopped existing after that motorcycle crash. Bob Petrino is a solid OC but flamed out as HC of Louisville.
