Exactly. Sam wasn't watching the same game we were. In his fantasy guys were going hard and we were SOOO close. In reality at least 60% of the defense was loafing on EVERY play, and people should be riding the pine for that lack of effort. In his fantasy, it was just too hot. In reality, it's a culture of laziness they've learned from him.

It's basically another article taking what someone else (media member) said and running with it like it's fact and of course this is what passes for sports journalism now and also all other kinds of journalism. Notice the article cites no sources to support it's claim that Petrino is "working the phones". 

Again it's very possible Petrino has made it known thru certain circles that he would pick up the phone when it comes time. I doubt those kinds of conversations are all that unusual when a season looks like it's fixing to go tits up. 

I know it's splitting hairs but I don't think he would be undermining Pittman. It's not like he called those fumbles to do just well enough in total yardage but just bad enough to lose

The Comments are awesome.  Those fans of others schools shitting on him are doing it out of fear, nothing more.  There isn't one school in the SEC that wants Petrino back as our HC.  Not one fucking school.  They would be thrilled if we kept Sam as our HC forever.  Easy win year in and year out.  Under Petrino, you were most likely going to get your ass whipped unless you were in the top 5 in the country and even then, better be top 2 just to be sure.  I don't think people really remember how fucking good we were in 2011.  The teams that beat us in the regular season were the two best teams in the nation and the separation between them and everyone else was big.  That was it.  We were most likely the 3rd/4th best team in the country in reality.
