It's not a talent problem. It's a coaching problem unless you think LSU and Ole Miss lack talent too. As pitiful as the defense is, we beat ole miss if we don't fumble.  With any kind of a defense we win comfortably.

You could go the coordinator route. You know Gus will be pandering for it. Briles probably will as well. Has Lunney done enough?

If we go coordinator I hope we don't hire one from Georgia, Ohio State, etc.  Those guys probably don't understand the limitations and how hard they'll have to work to get talent here. 

I'd prefer a lower level HC with a lot of success for that reason.  We need someone who hasn't had an easy path.

Exactly. There is a coach out there that is between 35-40 that knows how to win football games. He knows how to coach. He dreams every night of just having a chance to prove himself. Find him.

This is why HY has to go too. THE reason we are here is because of that stupid one-sided contract. Otherwise we couldve shit canned Sam after starting 2-6 in '23 like he deserved.

Yeah, it happens. Here's why I like him. He's 28-11 over 3 seasons with 10-3 his first year, fell off to 7-6 and what made him really stand out was him coming back with an 11-2 team that you know he built. It proved to me that his first year wasn't just successful because of someone else's players.
