Here's another, cynical way to view why Florida State got left out. It makes some intuitive sense. They're not in the two cool kids' clubs. I don't know why this graphic has them at number 4 when they came out at number 5 in the playoff decision.

And if their genius commissioner hadn't joined "The Alliance"  a few years ago the playoff would already be expanded and they would be in.

Someone obviously had to be left out but the odd thing is that no one is questioning Michigan. I believe they played at least 5(maybe 6) offenses who were ranked in the bottom 15 of all 133 schools. Their coach was suspended half the season for breaking NCAA rules. They averaged 5 yards a pass in the conference title game against fucking Iowa while Bama-UGA looked every bit the part of playoff contenders in the SECCG. Based on resume Washington should absolutely be #1 seed but it's like Michigan was just penciled in at #1 from the start and no one questioned it.

I mentioned this the other day. Other than Ohio St, who did Michigan beat? Their big wins were UNLV and Penn St. That's it. Everyone said how horrible FSU's offense was against Louisville, but they had more total offense than Michigan did vs Iowa. I fucking HATE Bama, but I hope they steamroll them and show what frauds they are....again.

Alabama/Georgia, just like Washington/Oregon, was a play-in game. Imagine the uproar if Alabama got in and Texas did not. I'd bet Texas would be raising just as much hell as the Noles, but naturally for a different reason.
