Maybe the point is that these schools (ole miss, ATM, etc) are spending way more in NIL than we are and getting moderately better results and all going to be out of the playoff picture.  I know some are just going to be darksiders no matter what and the same folks likely would be if Kiffen were here and we were spending on NIL and even getting those results. Obviously, we'd all like to have those "disappointing" 3 loss season as the floor, but this is literally where everyone thought we would be this year and possibly better if we scratch out another win. Definitely not a Pittman hugger or hater, and I expect better results. Not saying we should be ecstatic over 8 win seasons, but if we end up with 8 this year, I would consider that better than expected. Regress next year and make a move, improve and build on 8 wins with outside playoff chance and one year closer to Pittman retiring and attracting a top level coach. Just don't let yuri do something stupid and apply the golden handcuffs to one of the oldest coaches in CFB that no one is courting

imagine raising 8+ million like ole miss and not winning the sec or making the playoffs. our fanbase, if they ever helped raise that much, would be in full nuclear melt down regardless who the coach was.

Being IN the playoff picture the entire year and falling short in the end is not "moderately" better than being a complete afterthought the last three quarters of the year and limping to shit tier bowl, it's a vast difference.

You guys are like someone at some mid tier baseball school making fun of Arkansas and Dave Van Horn because he can't win the big one.  Look at all that money and effort they put into baseball and they still can't win the World Series or even get into most years.  We're better off with Coach Ballsack.  He has us respectable and we might even make regional with another few years of steady improvement.
