I am excited for the season to start.

Speaking of QB's, I think this is the first time in my life of following Arkansas football that I can't name any of our QB's, not one. That's how excited I am about this season.

You can't name KJ Jackson, who played in 5 games last season?  Went 33 for 54 with 3 TDs and rushed 11 times for 52 yards and 2 TDs?

Can we please put to bed the Silverfield-Morris stuff?

Silverfield and Morris aren't even in the same stratosphere coaching record wise when hired.  Morris was 14-24.  Morris had 7 wins once.

Silverfield is 50-25.  Silverfield has had 2 10 win seasons. 

Ryan's teams play hard.  I watched them get better and better when they beat us last year.  They could've folded, because we were the much more talented team. 

I'm excited to see what he does, and he has my full support.

Everything is wait and see.

Right now, Silverfield could be anything from a Chad Morris to a Nick Saban. To me, he is completely a blank slate.  What he did before he got here, I don't care about at all.

I don't think he's Morris. I just think any coach we hire ends up being two games per year worse than they would be anywhere else, and he's already just an okay-to-good coach. Here he'll be poor-to-middling.

We are so beaten down, some of you pine for the "glory days" of Houston Dale. 

I'll give the guy some grace. 
Have us look prepared and play hard. 
Stop asking guys to do things they are physically or mentally incapable of doing. That's what good coaches do. 
That's about all I must have this year. 

Wins will come with better coaching, better effort and better athletes. Not sure we are very good athletically but who the hell knows with 40+ new players.

Took the family to Disney this summer. A cast member in our hotel saw my Arkansas hat, said he was a huge college FB fan, and asked me who was going to get the starting job.

I was like hell I have no clue who any of them are. I think I said something like "I'm more of a baseball guy anyway."
