the allen brothers were the starters under bert unless injured. franks was the starter for pittman's first year and then jefferson took over. green stated all but one game.

Chad's two years were turbulent at QB, but so was everything else.

Under Sam, we went from Franks to Jefferson to Green without any real shakeup to be seen.

Before that, Bert had the Allen brothers. Again, pretty consistent. I may be forgetting a lone season here or there, but for the most part we've had QB stability, again with the exception of Chad's two years. I can't recall a year where it wasn't apparant who our QB was (other than Chad's tenure and maybe 2006 for obvious reasons) since 2000 or maybe early 2001.

We've had plenty of coaches who weren't scared of letting <checks notes> North Alabama know who our week one starter would be.  There's no logical reason for "not telling the public".

Since people are mentioning QBs of yore. I looked up Tavaris Jackson because I had a class with him at the U of A. He rarely attended, but when he did, he seemed pretty stupid. Seemed like a nice guy. I did not realize he died in 2020 in a car wreck. Left behind a wife and 3 kids. Sad shit
