This is true. Actually, it was the other way around. Morris didn't even coach in his team's bowl game.

Morris wanted the the job and wanted it to be announced the last week of the season. HY didn't want that because Petrion wanted an interview at the end of the season. OK State announced the Saturday we played Missouri (Nov 25th) and HY wanted to wait until after the season was finished.

You miss the point.  It doesn't matter that much if it is true or not.  What is potentially significant is the Bowl Cut isn't all sunshine and roses telling us that RS was the best we could do and that HY is the best AD we've ever had.  No, he is saying HY could have had other...better choices and he made the decision to take RS instead.  That is putting HY out there to take the fall and cutting out his legs.
