As someone else stated, we are who we are. We are not a top tier SEC program. Over the last decade we are arguably the worst team on the West and bottom 4 overall.

Even our best years have been a splash in the pan. One or two years being really good with mediocre to bad years around them.

The state of Arkansas just doesn't put out enough talent. Look at our best years and it's guys from in state that carry the team. MS is the same size in population  but they put 3-4x the D1 talent. This has been an Achilles heel for a while and mothing has been done to change it. I'm sure this was a big reason Kiffen took the OM job over us.

The sales pitch was we could be the next Clemson and evidently someone up their bought it. 

They lacked the understanding of why Clemson of all schools was in fact a sleeping giant where as Arkansas is a lot closer to Nebraska in that it has to rely on talent from outside the state. Clemson sits in a super talent dense region among many other schools.

You surround Arkansas with other SEC schools and it only exacerbates the talent issue by reducing the appeal as an alternative to playing in the big 12 or AAC. 

Pittman by rankings is recruiting very well...so I can see us letting this play out and see if it gets fixed in the off season.

We don't have the will or desire to win. Our admin, program, and by extension fans have a loser mentality. Our boosters and fans don't demand excellence, so why should our football program live by that standard?

I was shocked at the number of "I was pleased with how the keeds played hard and kept it close!" posts I saw on social media last night by a not insignificant number of  our fans.

Plus, just like you can turn over a roster overnight, you can lose half your roster overnight.  If you have a bad record, are no longer the exciting up and comer, play an antiquated offense, and look you'll be gone next year, kids are gonna bolt for greener pastures.

Didn't we lose more players than anyone besides Colorado last year to the portal. Evidently, Unlike Colorado we DECREASED our talent level.

Yes but that's always been the case. We are still recruiting historically higher than we ever have. Thus my semi optimism that we will come thru this in time. The way it looks though Pittman will have to have a head to offer up for this mess and it's most likely going to be Kennedy and Guiton...the RB coach has strong ties to Georgia recruiting so I don't see them bouncing his ass.

RE: Coaching/Development

When we see older guys committing the same penalties every game and nothing happens with them. That is an issue. We see it on the defensive line especially where if a guy fucks up he comes off the field. Offensive line if a guy fucks up he shrugs a bit and goes back to prepared to get put on his ass for the next play. There is no threat of being pulled. Overall there are a number of dipshit penalties and execution type things that this team just continually fucks up and the coaches just sit there on theirs and do nothing about it.

I think most of us knew Pittman wasn't going to turn into some brilliant strategist. That's the very reason he was our "CEO coach" which is to say look important and do little or nothing. His job should be to scare the hell out of our players and assistants from fucking up. Instead he's turned into this guy that wants to be everyone's buddy and get butt hurt when people call him out. I think I've already said this but we might as well have hired Chaney for what we are seeing out of Enos this season...I liked the idea of the hire but the results on the field suggest switching over to more of a pro-style offense has been pretty tough though I feel we severely lack leadership on offense. KJ isn't a leader. You don't go off by yourself and hog all the skittles on the sidelines...does he ever talk to Enos in the booth? Rocket isn't either. Nobody on the offensive line is. That leaves new guys and rookies.
