Sam can earn back some goodwill if he retires after this season.


But he's proven that he cares more about money than he lets on. He talks like he's an "aw shucks, happy to be here" guy, but you don't fire the agent who landed you the job and then hire a big money replacement if that was true.

I think he has too much pride to walk away. Best case scenario is we give him a "settlement" where he gets some of the money left on his deal and he gets to walk away without being fired.

T-will had his knob polished for 2 weeks, and came out with a dud of a game plan.  Except for Robinson, our back 7 played scared most of the night.  Which led to them being on the field the whole game.

Ole Miss' vaunted d-line didn't register a sack against them, so I didn't expect to get to their QB.  But the coverage plan was shit.  That was the ball game.  Despite all that, we were in it until the tip/pick.

I will say that staying out of the game thread has been really good for my blood pressure.  So I got that going for me.  Which is nice.

We have zero talent on defense.

Amazing how the offense never receives criticism here. Wonder why that is?

Before yesterday, I was looking at next Saturday when we are @ Starkville 11:45 and Mizzou is @ Tuscaloosa which was listed as pending but nighttime. Those are about 2 hours apart.

My son being a Mizzou grad and fan and Arkansas fan, I had convinced him to do a crazy double and attend both games. I have an old Ark friend who lives in Columbus MS and has season MSU tickets. He could set us up for that half.

On tickets4less Mizzou-Bama tickets were running cheapest about $120 which I would do for this one time thing.

Now they have set Mizzou-Bama for 2:30 so the double is impossible. Plus how we performed yesterday I'm not feeling so great about driving 7-8 hours to Starkville either.

The excitement of a trip turned into "yeah ok" for another Saturday of big screen football.

It depends on the duty to mitigate, if there is one in the contract. 

You get $3MM per year for the next four years but you are obligated to seek another job and take it if offered.  Or you can take $3MM for two years and retire to your lake house with no such duty. 

I'm not saying Sam will take the latter, but there is an opportunity to negotiate.  Due to the busted hip I doubt Sam really wants to be in and out of airplanes recruiting as an OL coach, or on the field running drills with his position group.

Again, all this assumes that there was a clause in the contract that requires Sam to seek employment elsewhere or forfeit his buyout.  It wouldn't be a shock at all if Jabba the Agent conned Yurachek into leaving this out the way he did aTm with Jimbo.

That's just not true.  We're STILL complaining about the woeful offensive line for how many years now? I mean your boy KJ sucks ass but in his defense he was always running for his life too.

It's good to see them clean up the false starts a bit, but they still can't recognize or pick up a blitz for the most part.

I agree, but if his health issue is that bad I could see him retiring provided he could walk away with some money in hand.
