None of this is shocking to me. There seemed to be a disconnect from the last couple seasons worth of players and the only ones staying lack options or are still young enough to be snowed by the Pittboss. I know we went out and found us another Nutt but god damn did they ever.

I watched Ty Washington's interview with DJ Williams, and he made it sound like Pittman was petty as hell and would just make shit up.

We don't know for sure how Sam is to the players. Rational deduction and all gives an idea but it's still hearsay and we weren't there.

The trick none of those other Razorback coaches ever figured out was to do poorly enough during the season so as to get matched up against a bad team in a bowl no one cares about.  Then crow about it when you beat the brakes off of a bad team.

At 8-4 Tech was "best" team by record we've ever faced in a bowl.  We had a 7-5 Penn State missing most of it's best players including its QB, a bad 6-6 Kansas team, and this Tech team missing it's starting QB and running back. 

Like any other team nowadays we were missing a lot of players too, but we did have the advantage of having our starting QB in every bowl.  I can't remember Kansas' portal situation in that bowl.

A big part of our miserable bowl record in the past was JFB's influence.  He was able to get us into bowls that were bigger than we probably deserved.  Look at how many times from the early 60s through the late 80s that we ended up in the Sugar or Orange Bowl in years where we finished second in the SWC. 

From 1961 through 1986 we got at-large spots to major bowls (back when there were only four real ones) seven times...five Sugar and two Orange.  We played teams ranked 1,3,4,13,2,2,and 3 in those games, with two of the teams that beat us winning the national title, and one other (1962 Ole Miss) finishing the year 10-0 and winning the SEC.

This is why I called Pittman the "Reverse Hatfield" the other day.  Hatfield would have us highly ranked in the regular season and we would go to a really good bowl and get beat by a top 5 team.  Pittman does the exact opposite.  We take a 9 or 10 win team and win 6 to 8 and get to play a bad team that barely made a bowl.

With half as many turnovers as we actually had, this team wins 9 easily.  Turnovers and scores DIRECTLY from those turnovers lost the games at OSU, A&M, and Mizzou.

Ty Washington was also a little bitch. I was told, from a person in the athletic department, that all Washington did was complain about playing time, wanting more balls thrown his way and didn't want to block.

He also was talking to other players about entering the portal with him and other shit. He tried to leave last year, but decided to stay.

Washington said in the DJ interview that he was humble. That's a load of shit. He also told his coach no, when asked to go in.

Not a huge Pittman fan, but Washington has a lot more to do with this than he says.
