Hope it works out for him but he was taken off return duties at FHS because of ball handling issues .I.e. fumbling.

It might be worth the risk as when he is in the open field with the ball in his hands, it is simply electric.

Is it unreasonable for me to be annoyed/disappointed that in year 4, Pittman (one of the best OL coaches of his era) won't have a good OL on the field?

I get that he doesn't want to micromanage, etc, but if any position should be locked down, it should be OL. You can always count on Bama to have an elite secondary under Saban, or (back in the day) great QB play at Flordia under Spurrier, etc, so why can't we expect a great OL under Pittman?

when he was ol-line coach all he had to do was be in charge of one room. he was also able to be a full time recruiter for that specific position group.

he obviously now is responsible for the whole program, all the players, coaches, training, and nutrition people. plus he has all of three seasons under his belt. not really a fair comparison to saban and spurrier.

if fingers need to be pointed, to me the problem is his buddy the o-line coach. bringing in one 4* the last two classes and so far none for '24 falls on the guy who is out there beating the bushes. probably the thing that has hurt the most is whiffing in the portal. i wonder how short a leash  kennedy is on.

Coulda been. Speaking of good punt returners, oh for the days of Orlando Watters. I remember him taking one to the house against Tennessee,in Knoxville I believe, during that great win with Barry Lunney at the helm. I also remember being in the stands one time at War Memorial stadium when Madre Hill took a kickoff to the house. Sorry, I'm rambling now. I do believe having good return men in the kicking game is important though. Maybe Sategna can help us there.
