Imagine if HY had fired Fatboy after 2023 when he should have.  Maybe he would have done a real search and we could have hired Cignetti instead of Indiana.  I mean, I'm sure HY would have screwed it up, but you can't really argue that Cignetti would never have taken our job since he took a job that was worse than ours by almost every historical metric.

Cig seems to be an excellent evaluator of talent - both players and coaches and support staff.

I know a family member of his in DFW, he had a biomedical sciences degree and worked as a rep briefly but he has always wanted to be a coach.

Coming off a disappointing few seasons and starting from scratch with a coach from Tennessee Memphis... sure, seems like the perfect time to make the change.

I thought they ended "grandfathering" years ago. I have heard stories of people that had grandfathered seats and then told it takes a certain donation level to keep them. They told the UofA to piss off and didn't renew.
