Fuck the ACC and FSU.  We need that money Bama will bring.  FSU plays in a weakass conference and would not have been undefeated in a stronger conference. This issue of undefeated teams in weaker/smaller conferences is not new; ask BYU.  Fuck FSU. 

They can go beat Georgia. 

It's a made for TV event; not a real tournament.  And Disney and others pay a shitton of money for this.  The four best teams that bring eyeballs will be playing. The game we live with.  Had these idiots bought into JFB's original plan years ago we'd have a better system.  8 team divisions playing in 4 conferences.  So 64 teams.  Division winners play in 4 conference championships.  Win you're in.  8 > 4 > 2.  No debates. 

The ACC had a winning record against the SEC.

The upper third of the SEC is a better conference.  The bottom 10 are schedule padding.

In my opinion,if they played Georgia's regular-season schedule, they're still undefeated. They did beat two SEC teams. Who knows what would've happened against Bama.

You may be right, however, Georgia didn't make it in either, so FSU would be in the same position. The more relevant comparison is whether or not you think FSU would've been undefeated with Alabama's schedule.

It's not just the QB.  The shunning of undefeated teams from weaker conferences is nothing new.  This is just the ACC being relegated to its chosen position as a weak sister.

With this, people will always bring the "you'll make the games matter less" or "you're watering down the regular season" points. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the NFL regular season still gets plenty of eyeballs. It's not like people will just stop watching their teams. There may be less on the line just because one noncon loss likely won't completely derail your postseason chances, but I would take that "watering down" if it meant a clearer path than the nebulous and completely subjective inconsistencies we have now. This idea that this uncertainty somehow makes the college game different and thereby more thrilling is just illogical.
