I don't really ever see us getting a top caliber coach at arkansas. We have reigned in mediocrity for decades...Nutt, Bert, Chad...the list goes on. When it's time to get a head coach of any caliber we lose out and then resort to one of these fucks who just does a so so job to stay on. We have an amazing program and school but we every time we seem to fucking get mediocrity and we always miss out on the bigger name coach's

I don't really think BP wants to be HC again either and would like to see him back. If we hired Odom, would he want him after bolting on him for ATM ? Idk. Surely there's a statute of limitations on BP being the HC if that's the short term route we wanted to take, although I personally would prefer us to go younger, but similar mindset/personality.

We have to have someone that lives and breathes football, not flying to Dallas to see their kids play or spending half their time chilling at the lake house drankin colbeers.

You're right on that. We don't really know and it wouldn't matter where he actually spends his time. Point was really more of living and breathing football by spending his time scheming, recruiting, watching film etc. Maybe he is spending all his time doing that and just not doing it good enough.

Not sure I believe the first part.  I went by there several times Labor Day weekend and never saw any signs of life.

We had a football coach admit he had no clue what to do in year 4 in which he went 4-8.

And yet our AD decided that was fine and to run it back with that same coach.

And yet we still have dumbasses in our media and fan base (not here, but they're out there) who want to give him another year.

As you point out, the fact of the matter is that NOTHING is going to change with another year. 
- He's still going to lose a shitload of players to the portal.
- He's still going to lose the locker room late in the season.
- He's still going to play the wrong players.
- He's not going to get better in close games.
- He's not going to get better at keeping his team focused.
- He's not going to play better in Fayetteville.
- He's not going to be better in press conferences.
- He's not going to work hard and grind tape instead of going to Hot Springs.

We are a marginally better team this season than last with arguably less skill talent on the offensive side of the ball. Petrino makes that difference. Beyond that this is EXACTLY the same result and EXACTLY the same failures over and over with this team under this coach. Changing coordinators hasn't hidden the fact that Pittman is ineffective at managing the program and preparing a team week in and week out. When we get into our depth as the season unfolds problems happen. We get exposed and we have no way to make adjustments. But by golly we're gonna protect those redshirts.

You know there's keeds on this team that probably could have played 6 to 8 games after injury that we've played shenanigans with to let them play only 4. I don't have a huge problem with that but on the same token if you are really needed out there then get your ass out there.

And to sound like a broken record for the 3rd year in a row...having Clark as your badge of honor guy out there getting smoked repeatedly at corner is not the boss move you seem to think it is. That we haven't recruited well enough to bury a white db on the roster says a lot about the recruiting ability of this staff. Mad props to Clark to keep trotting out there. Hopefully he makes a helluva coach some day...but probably well be for Auburn.

There is room to negotiate. 

Cut the buyout to around $5MM and remove the duty to mitigate (requirement for Sam to actively seek employment).

That whole statement is way overblown.  He was faced with an "either-or" choice, both with attendant risks. He chose one way, and it didn't work.  There was surely no guarantee the other way would have worked either.

Some folks are posting on twitter that if BMFP is the HC he cannot hire anyone or have direct reports due to his past sins.  Any truth to that?
