Lashlee can want the job and Yuri would give it to Lunney because Lunney would come cheaper.

I'm sorry Elvis......for all of it.

No, he would try to hire major applewhite like he did at Houston.

How is Saracen's idea "unconstitutional?"  I could see "not allowable under current statute..."  Yes the comments are right - this thing has Oaklawn written all over it.

That would be a good hypothetical - would you like a consistent winning team that is completely mobbed up like old Vegas?

The new elephant in the room is this program EXPECTED a six win season and went to such lengths as to skip game prep with other opponents to focus on the games it thought it could win. Is that a savvy mind fuck or downright lazy fucking loser shit?

I'll give them OK Lite...new offense, lots of new skill guys things and stuff are gonna happen. But to be turning the ball over 3 or 4 times deep into the season is downright unacceptable against anybody. Turnovers are a huge reason we don't have at least 8 wins right now.

Against La Tech in a game you would normally like to get backups in to get reps we didn't play nearly as many even with a strong enough lead to get some dudes some reps. That #19 looked like he hadn't saw action since high school though, guess nobody taught him to not run into your returner. My theory is this staff is having to juggle around guys to save their redshirts...indicators of a staff very comfortable. A few golden child types like Kutas I assume will be back for Mizzou. He's an upgrade over Blacknoblock but the bar is pretty fucking low.

Notables I didn't see out there or made zippo difference in the game. These are guys that have played at different segments of the season. Some of which already have a redshirt so no reason they wouldn't be out there barring injuries.

Juncai
Broden
Anthony
Mitchell (Florida transfer)
Singletary
Tevis Metcalf (might have played but didn't record any stats)
Switzer
Harrison
CJ stonehands Brown

Probably missing some...this game was in doubt up until about 8 minutes to go so I can see why we didn't get in as many but this is also a trend with Tittboss. Also we keep having very whelmed crowds at RRS and there seems to be a relationship to piss poor performances and meh crowds...maybe something to that. I think if you dug deeper you would discover that our meh NIL numbers also have a relationship to the aforementioned meh performances and crowds.

Edit:

I'm going to add this thought and I'm parsing here for sure but I beginning to reckon this staff doesn't see Singleton as a long term starter and thus isn't developing him. He doesn't fit the profile for Petrino who tends to like QBs at or around 6-4/210+. Singleton is a Russ Wilson sized guy, makes fairly quick decisions and can probably run this offense as good or better than Green but his "ceiling" may not be up there where Petrino wants it to be. That KJ Jackson could be the future though but they may be hoping to get another development year out of Green's dumb ass. Green could still improve, he's got to get better blocking around him though and Petrino's offense have always left QBs out to dry. His offense greatly depends on the QB making reads and getting the ball out...Green just isn't consistent with his accuracy there were several balls that should have been easy throws yesterday that the guy was woefully inaccurate. His numbers against a shit team could have been huge probably 300 passing, 150 rushing.

We're a loser program with a loser coach and a loser AD, but that won't change because the loser AD answers to loser boosters and a loser fanbase that are content with simply making a bowl that we'll no doubt hang a banner for.  We had a head coach that wasn't a loser once, but our fanbase was by and large ready to fire him for a marital indiscretion because that's what losers do.

12 teams make the CFB this year and then there will be 35 more bowl games.  (35x2)+12 =  82 teams that will get bowl invites this year.  82 out of 134 FBS teams... as long as we can be in the top 61% of teams at the end of the year, that's enough for us.

We deserve what we have, so keep spending money to go support the keeids and don't expect anything to change.

Bowl eligibility unlocked.  Season is a wrap.

We'll sleepwalk thru Pittman's annual loss to Mizzou.  Thank god I'll be driving to duck camp and won't have to watch any of it.

Are you as long winded in person as you are on the net!??  Being in a blind with you seems like it could be something one might suffer for say finishing last in a fantasy league...

So it sounds like Yurachek really is going to kick the can down the road with Pittman and run it back next year, ultimately just delaying the inevitable that we all know is coming.

The cynic in me wonders if there's a chance that maybe he's simply letting Pittman eat the shit sandwich that is next year's schedule instead of a new coach, purely for the purposes of optics.

Think about it. Pittman gets bowl eligible this year and then gets let go. New Coach comes in to face the Murderers Row that is our 2025 schedule and winds up going 3-9 or 4-8. We're going to get stuffed in a lot of lockers next year with or without Pittman.

Having to fire a coach that you hired is never a good look for an AD, but his replacement coming in and having a worse record is bad optics for an AD. Maybe that's something Hunter is thinking about with all this.

Granted, I don't think Yurachek is particularly bright or a strategic, long game player, but it's a thought that popped into my head this morning.

Show-Me Hog

Hasn't it always been very straightforward? Make a bowl and get 2025? Don't and you're done?

I thought we had all been acting on (and accepting) that very black and white assumption all year.

animal

I don't see how 2025 is tougher than losing most of your games at home. We've had what 4 TOP 10 home games and won one with the inexperienced QB. Going into this season the schedule looked fairly "manageable". I don't think Tenn or A&M were necessarily seen as legit playoff teams. One may be the other one is a pretender. Ole Miss was seen as potential. Texas was seen as ready for a breakout year but nobody knew what would happen going against the movers and shakers of the SEC. I think most thought Texas would get an education...they didn't.

Mizzou having their typical stride through the SEC for the most part...how they seem to glide thru an SEC schedule is something to behold. I mean I'm sorry but my brain cannot allow myself to consider Missouri football to be good. They got a unseasonably weak Alabama, Ou, and Auburn. Went 2-1. Lost to a strong A&M, beat MSU but so did everyone else. They got a stronger than normal South Carolina and Vandy and won both, both games could have went the other way for sure. They got a same ole same ole Arkansas. Ho Hum 9-3. Fucking MIZZOU.

Also from year to year because of the portal/NIL I don't know that you can really say with any certainty what next year's outlook will be sitting here before Thanksgiving in 2024. We know it will be tough. That's really it.

Is there any update on firing this fat slob and our AD? Who are the boosters wanting to keep us on a mediocre level. If we keep putting this off we won't get anyone decent.
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

Yes.

The update is that Sam Pittman is your 2025 Arkansas Razorbacks head coach.

Texas was also welcome-gift-wrapped a pissass weak schedule and they have taken advantage.

If this schedule works the way it could then it's a roll of the dice and who knows maybe Arkansas will catch a break and win 8. ::)

Not for me. I thought he should've been fired last year, and CERTAINLY didn't think that winning 3 conference games this year would get him even another year.
