Arkansas would have a better chance at winning the Big 12 than coming in top 4 in the SEC.

This is a loser mindset like your head coach. If Ole Miss can compete so can Arkansas. Hire a good coach and raise the money to buy him the players.

We'd just have to get through Oklahoma State.

this.

anyway moving isn't going to happen. if the super conference does come to being a thing, most of those b12 teams aren't going to be in it. arkansas in the sec guarantees we'll be a part of it.

mde114

Adding more teams has always benefited Arkansas' standing in the conference.

Shit, hopefully this Super Conference will adopt relegation and we'll be moved to a more competitive level.

vegashog

well it's all speculation at this point but the fact that the commissioners of the sec and b10 have even mentioned it, means somewhere down the line it will happen.

it comes down to money, period. don't have to like it but that's the reality. and that means eyeballs on the weekend. as of the middle of last month, here's the number of most watched games broken down per conference.

sec: 28
big10: 12
acc: 6
b12: 2 (both games had colorado).

that's 83% for the sec and b10, and the gap will only widen.

Weak sauce. Name any number of schools you'd rather be in another conference and wish you were them. SMU? Whatever. Okay they make the playoffs and get brutally embarrassed. That's going to make you feel better as a fan? Maybe the road is harder in the SEC,but the feasibility of you winning it all is much better in the SEC, where you're arguably going to get better talent and $$ to do so.

I was at the game yesterday and you could sense the fans' frustration with Sam.

No booing or anything, but lots of complaining and anger about lack of discipline, personnel, execution, and other things.

During several TV timeouts he wasn't even going over to the offensive or defensive huddles.

We're basically flushing $7 mil down the toilet for a do-nothing figurehead because "he's one of us."  I've heard people talk about how he's "earned the right to go out on his terms." What are these people smoking? This isn't Bill Snyder or Frank Broyles we're talking about who literally built their programs. This is a guy who's been here 5 years, has a losing record, and had 1 good year before packing it in.

We don't deserve any success.

The problem is, the ones who are in control will see a packed stadium and think no changes need to be made. It was for Texass, though. Next week, it will be less, even for a 3:00 game.

The worse scenario is we go 7-6 after a shitty bowl and they decide to raise donations and ticket prices to cover that $20 million back pay, without firing Bluelight Special(BLS).

We still need to see who is portaling, but we will probably be hitting the reset button again next year and get the same or worse results.

Purgatory for Razorback Football fans.

Fuck it, hire coach Prime.

Yeah he'll run his mouth and we'll have to watch his ego trip, but he'll elevate the Razorback football brand like did he for Colorado (of all places).

I agree with the SEC being where we want to be but our feasibility of winning it all may be 3% instead of 1%.

Right now would have been a good time to have some of our better teams.  We can't beat Alabama or LSU when they have one of their great teams.  Both of them are off for the time being where our best teams could beat them now.  We can deal with the Mississippis and Auburn well enough, but lately we cannot beat A&M and Missouri.  OU is conveniently bad but now Texas is here and they are loaded but we could pull the rivalry card on them if we had one of our better teams.

The odds are real good that somebody will have one of their great teams in conference in any given year and we would have to get lucky to beat them.  To win we have to be better than Bama, LSU, Texas, OU, A&M, TN, UGAG, and Florida all at once.

That is still better than being anywhere else because then we would be like Notre Dame, but without the name.  They end up in the also-rans every year but they cannot compete when they make the playoffs.  They don't recruit like they used to.  We would not recruit as well as we do anywhere else either.

Do you apply this same loser mindset to the other things in your life?  We are well positioned in the SEC in every sport but football and that is due to nothing but an inept lazyass coach who thinks raising money for anyone other than himself is beneath him.  This big 12 whining lines up with the if not Sam then who and 6 wins is acceptable loserville bullshit.

Here's the future sweetheart, and it's bleak for anyone not in the sec or Big10.  The issues of the playoff are that once again the two conferences that matter are subsidizing the hangers on in the big 12, acc, the wac and rest of the alphabet.  They will team up and start their own superconference playoff and make all the money and the losers will be at the kids table scraping by and playing games on Thursday night.

It will be glorious not having to hear about " I bet we could beat Iowa fucking state!" Guess what with Sam at the helm we couldn't.  Ole Miss competes with two other d1 programs and is doing fine because they have a modern coach instead of a slobbery mess who uses his players as surrogates for his children.

ugh I have to listen to him nonstop every week in he news. He's sorta insufferable but honestly maybe he could do what needs to be done at arkansas I dunno

We'd find a way to fuck up dominating the AAC if we moved to it.

SwahiliSteve

You can go ahead and fire Hunter as well.

Why? Will be interesting to see what he does (if anything) without Sheddur and Hunter. Jerry will probably hire him in big d.

he can probably make more money being his kids and hunter's agent.

As has been discussed, Sam nor his staff pay attention to personnel, make adjustments, or have any game awareness.

They put the game in Greens hands instead of shifting to emphasize the run.  It's just inexcusable how inept this team is under Sam Pittman.  He'll be gloating Saturday about whipping up on La tech and awaiting their shitbowl assignment.

Hard No on sanders. Very shady. That dude is gonna frick up a program.
