what this probably means is the money given will go straight to the football team. the collective needs to be setup, more than likely being done so now. i think that's why pittman said he goofed up when talking about it at his presser.

Biddy discussed this in his walk and talk.  The charity thing doesn't work and is an anachronism.  The bigtime schools use this collective concept which is like a Razorback Foundation for players.  The money is more straight to the players without true NIL requirements like showing up for a Realtor convention.  It's true bag money.  At some point there needs to be some regulation and total transparency.  Player funds should be public.  They are pros. 

The collectives have websites that allow you small folks to simply donate.  Skip Starbucks today and send your hogs 10 bucks.

I agree 100000%. Norvell was begging for the job. 10-2 at Memphis. Young offensive minded coach. And we pick a total dipshit who honestly thought he and his family were just a little too good for this job and state. It's not exactly "assholy" but it's not good.

I am sure at some point you have done performance reviews with an employee. Let's say you're doing one with an employee who really missed the mark this year. A paralegal who could not get things ready for filing. A secretary who could not write in English.

So you're going over those things with the employee, and being direct that they really need to be improved, or you might have to find someone else for the position. If their response is, "if you replace me, you're rolling the dice it might get worse," what's your confidence that the employee is getting it and will try hard to improve? Low to very low, I would think.

Sam's comments make it easy to see why we always do so poorly and come out flat after a good game.  Just last week he was poor mouthing it and getting pissy about reporters asking him about his job.  Now, less than a week later after getting word he is going to be retained and beating up on the crippled kid, he's all happy and taking shots at the thought we might need a change.  He can't keep his eye on the ball.  He worries about people talking about his titties.  He worries about people talking about his job security.  When good things happen, it's clear he spends the week sniffing his own farts and reading press clippings. 

I mean I know it's useless to compare him to Saban or even Petrino, but can you imagine either if those guys saying some of the stuff he has said? 

The dude is Houston Nutt in a more likable package.  We'll see how that package looks Friday night and next year.
