Also, (and I may catch crap for this), Hagan Smith throws very few actual strikes. His fastball is usually good for a strike, but he throws a lot of garbage pitches. I think his velocity doesn't give the hitter much time to determine it is a ball and they swing at it. But, it works, and that is all that counts. He is still a great pitcher. Also, I have been impressed with Faherty in our mid week games.
