He might but I think the batter and SC Coach were bitching about a called strike a couple pitches before that. If I am thinking of the same situation you are.

When the SC coach got tossed you could read the umpire's lips saying "you me to throw you out?" right before he tossed him. Coach wanted to get the first shower.

Quote from: Cardiac Hog on Apr 19, 2024, 09:22 PMDVH with some questionable decisions tonight.  Hopefully this one works out

Wilmsmeyer in the starting lineup, PHing Helfrick in a 2 out bases loaded high leverage spot, and inserting Foutch in the 7th were definitely head scratchers.

I legit don't understand why he keeps giving Wilmsmeyer chances. He's a decent glove but an automatic out with zero pop and not anywhere near good enough defensively to compensate for just how terrible he is at the plate.

It's crazy because he's had someone PH for Wilmsmeyer numerous times this season. He obviously doesn't trust him at the plate.

I'd rather give those AB's to Edmunson or Lovich and roll with Holt in CF.

Thanks for the pbp. The ghost of Tanner English has been buttfucked by Ragnar the rattlesnake killing hog.
Fuck your feelings
Ain't found a way to kill me yet
I have hawgtism

Yeah...Wilmsmeyer and Lovich shouldn't see weekend games. I'd rather he pinch hit Sprague Lott who isn't much better, but still better nonetheless.

piglosopher

Gaeckle's fun to watch. He's a stud.

Sprague-Lott is nursing a back injury.

Not sure why he didn't go with Edmunson over Helfrick.

Diggs is banged up too.  He's think injuries are playing a big part right now.  We need to get healthy.

As someone said yesterday, Diggs is probably on the same trajectory as Stovall was last year.

Both were good hitters who went into a tailspin after a shoulder injury, in which case Stovall had to be shut down. Diggs looks absolutely lost at the plate right now.

Barton Fink

Let Diggs DH till he is healthy. Put Holt in LF, Edmundson in CF, and Jones in RF. DVH said Souza has been taking balls in the OF. Maybe he could play RF.

Surpised we haven't seen Robinett hit this year. He showed promise with some pop last year.

I've been thinking the same thing.  He hasn't even made an appearance in a mid-week game.  I wonder if he's hurt or redshirting.

I think his only spots are 1B or DH.

McLaughlin is firmly cemented at 1B (he's been really good defensively there) and is probably our most reliable hitter.

I am shocked he hasn't been given a shot at DH since that's been a bit of a revolving door this year. Wagner is a strikeout-or-home run guy and Helfrick seems to be a high power low average type of guy as well.

He came in and hit the big home run in the 10th against LSU in game 1 last year, and then dropped off the face of the earth.

He's redshirting.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.
