this is why i cannot understand why a fan of any other sec school would wish anything good to happen for saban and bama.

I've long been against any more more than a 4 team playoff.

My argument has always been at no point in NCAA football history has the 5th best team been near as good as the top two and didn't deserve a shot.

This is the first year we have sufficient evidence to warrant an 8 team playoff.

12 is still too many.

Do you hold the same opinion about college basketball, college baseball, PGA golf, or virtually every other sport that has ever been played?

I don't know why so many are opposed to more football.  I see the same argument for bowl games.  "There are too many!"

If FSU is one of the 4 then I don't ever want to hear the phrase "Four best teams" ever again.  It will be all emotion and not who the best four teams truly are.  

FSU was one of the four best teams until their QB got hurt.  It sucks for the other players on that team but as the kids say...Facts.

With 12 teams to fill next season I'm thinking the SEC could get 4 in fairly easily and justified. FSU got fucked but on the other hand they didn't exactly play a murderers row and if we're being honest neither did Georgia. If we're being real honest I don't know that anyone did other than maybe Alabama and maybe throw in Washington seeings how the Pac12 was allegedly really good this season and certainly looked strong. Michigan has a 1 game season each year.

I would argue that the four best teams are the four best teams.  It doesn't matter if two of those four played each other 12 times during the season.
