We left before the final possession, but while I was there I never once saw Sategna on the field with the offense.  He's clearly the most explosive guy we have in a slow WR room.  It's fucking malpractice that he's not getting reps.

Yes he got in and made a catch up the sidelines. Made a move and maybe just got a yard or two extra can't recall. I think right after it was clear we were going to drive is when the flags started flying and they were mostly correct calls. Just wish they would have called it both ways.

The calls that jumped out to me were the bullshit excessive celebration and a hold called on Latham.  They replayed that one in the stadium and it was clear that Brady took the guy down, but he was engaged and in front of him, so it was really just a pancake that shouldn't have been called.  You shouldn't be called for holding for whipping your man so badly that he falls down without trying to disengage.  Oh, and of course the offensive PI that was called on Hasz.  That was a Marc Curles level flag if there ever was one.  Our own esteemed arreferree said one time that as long as the receiver didn't extend his arms to push off the call shouldn't be made.  That was pretty much what happened...Hasz was running his route, and bumped into the defender who flopped.  Didn't at all look like PI from my vantage point or on the stadium replay.

You don't need hands to play on the offensive line unless you are the center. It isn't like these guys are going to make contact anyway. More likely they will just fall over.

I think KJ is too close to some career records to phone it in otherwise I'd say he ain't far behind

Dad actually won the Pinewood Derby.  He really got into it, got the weight just right, the aerodynamics, even got it painted by some friend who did car painting.  It was just plain old blue, now that I think of it a lot like our 1976 or so Bonneville.  That thing FLEW.  Then Uncle Bob or Aunt Shirley won the pie baking contest for Little Bob the next month.

I'm going to give a bold prediction that BYU has ended the Pittman era, unless we win 8 or more.

It's just not a loss you have at home in your 4th year with a senior QB like KJ.

HY isn't dumb, he's always struck me as forward thinking and business over personal.

He just needed a guy to stabilize the program, which thanks to Pittman, has made the job much more attractive. He could think like few of us, we saw Pittman's ceiling and it's time for someone else in order to take the next step.

Example Mike Anderson, and now he wants to find his football Muss.
