I heard Enos has openly remarked a couple of times what a monster the d-line is.  That makes me worry that it's not that the d-line is that good but that the o-line is that bad.  But Dan knows a little more about it than I do, I guess.

I'm going to give a bold prediction that BYU has ended the Pittman era, unless we win 8 or more.

It's just not a loss you have at home in your 4th year with a senior QB like KJ.

HY isn't dumb, he's always struck me as forward thinking and business over personal.

He just needed a guy to stabilize the program, which thanks to Pittman, has made the job much more attractive. He could think like few of us, we saw Pittman's ceiling and it's time for someone else in order to take the next step.

Example Mike Anderson, and now he wants to find his football Muss.

The problem is, who is that football Muss that is out there waiting in the wings?

Even though we hadn't been relevant in 20-plus years when Muss got here, being the basketball aficionado he is, he knew what we were capable of based on what Eddie and Nolan accomplished here, which was being a consistent top 25 team and could make multiple Final Fours, and win a national title.

Whereas everyone knows what we are capable of in football, which is pretty much perpetual mediocrity. No coach under 50 remembers Arkansas as anything other than an also-ran in the SEC.

I'm not saying that HY couldn't find someone who is hungry enough and ready to take this head-on, I just don't think there's someone who could do it as fast as Muss did in basketball.

Someone that is focused on wins and demanding his players piss excellence and that this game is not just about fun and playing grab ass. That the games are easier than the practices etc etc. That's the coach we need. Those guys are out there...do any of them want to go coach at Arkansas? Who the fuck knows. We aren't there yet anyway. 

I think Pittman is here another season unless we just lay turds the rest of the season. Anything less than a shitty bowl should be grounds for termination but might not be because we're Arkansas. Someone will always find an excuse. I think the real question here is do the players really fucking love Pittman or not....they play much harder for him than anyone ever dreamed of playing for Chad. That much I'll say but it's possible if we take some L's in the next few games that people start to check out.

We lost against BYU flat out because of lack of execution and shitty decision making by the coaches. You can't really do much about shitty coaching decisions ruled by emotions but you can catch the catchable balls. You can clean up the penalties. You can fight for extra yardage and treat every inch like it really fucking means something. You can run to the sticks on a 3rd and 8 and so on....that's shitty execution and coaching. YOU CAN'T do much for shitty spots or penalties though. I think the analytics will show that we are losing on 1st down just like we often did under Briles direction of the offense.

The program sucks.  History shows that we won't hire or keep the right coach.  We need to stop talking about it and accept the reality.  No more delusion.  Year in and year out we are worse than Memphis and a big maybe better than Vandy.  

Against every SEC team, over the last 10 games we have a winning record against two teams.  Ole Miss and South Carolina must feel terrible about themselves.

We are not a good football program.  Full stop.  End of story.  Shut it the fuck down.
