Listening to Chuck Barrett whine about how many coaches Arkansas hires and fires.  Bullshit, we haven't hired and fired any more coaches than anyone else in the SEC not named Bama and Georgia.

We're on our third coach in the last decade.  Just off the top of my head so is Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and MSU.  Unlike those places, Arkansas always has a bunch of people willing to make excuses about why we CAN'T do something instead of why we can. 

Chuck is a clown and his opinions are worthless.

Three different coaches in the last decade matches every SECW school other than Alabama (whose single coach has been on the GOAT run) and Texas A&M (whose two coaches combined have had the program perpetually stuck as a mid-tier school).

It also puts us on par with Tennessee, Missouri, and Florida in the SECE. The only SECE schools that haven't had to swap coaches multiple times over the past decade are Kentucky (who have been stable under Stoops), Vandy (who don't care), Georgia (currently in the midst of their best run in program history), and South Carolina (who held onto Will Muschamp for a very long time, despite less than good results).

In short, Chuck is a terrorist.

Chuck Barrett is a synchophant whose career has been built on sucking coach and SID dick for decades.  Of course he hates coach changes because he's got to get the knee pads out again to prove his value. 

I don't think Sam will get fired. I think this is going to be a respectful "retirement" that allows Sam to head to the lake with dignity and a lot of money.  Sam looks tired, depressed, and out of answers.  Does he want to go through a rebuild of the offense with a new OC? He also needs to shitcan Kennedy and the entire S&C staff.  How much of the bad Oline play is on the players and how much on coaching, scheme, and bad conditioning?  It's the hardest position group to turn around.

I don't think he wants to fire his OL coach. He has done nothing but make excuses for him from day one. If he's told he has to, that might just be the catalyst for him to retire.

This thought had occurred to me the other day that had Petrino not liked volleyball puthy he might still be coaching here and 2nd fiddle to Nick Saban in longevity and I fully believe Petrino would have done it out of spite for those that cried about him jumping ship every other year.  This last decade would look very different...but thank God for integrity.

If I'm in the car, I sometimes listen to the opponents' broadcast on TuneIn. It's pretty good to experience other radio teams and see where they're better or worse (plus I've hated Chuck for the better part of 20 years).

I highly recommend a TuneIn subscription during college football season. I listened to the OU-Texas game at my son's baseball tournament. The UT announcer sounded like he was doing NPR, so I switched over to the OU broadcast.
