Enos I don't really blame because he is who we thought he is. This same exact thing happened when he came the first time and by midseason the team figured some things out, the schedule got a bit softer, and we cranked out some wins. The same thing could happen this season but thus far I'm not that optimstic because the one variable missing is an experienced offensive line. He had it then but not now...our only hope is some things start to click in or the coaches find some "gamers" that maybe haven't had their shot yet. I doubt it though.

To your point, the difference is that 2015 offensive line was special. You had two 3 year guys in Skipper and Kirkland, a future Pro Bowler in Ragnow (soph), and Tretola. This year's line would piss their pants if those guys walked up on them in the streets.

KJ ain't as good as Brandon Allen was either.  Brandon didn't have the physical tools KJ does, but he was far better at running an offense like Enos'.

Give him a few more games to see if we turn it around, but at some point seat playing for next year. See what Criswell or the freshman

Interesting comparison. We HAD a Henry-esque tight end this year, but not really an Alex Collins. But mostly, it's our paper doll line and COBOL processing QB in a Python era.

The thing with KJ is everyone acts like the long developing plays began this season. We were often letting our WRs run down the field for long stretches and KJ launching. Remember the "fuck it Treylon down there somewhere"...those plays weren't done in a blink of an eye.

KJ is being asked to read defenses and make his progressions while in the pocket where as in the past things were probably much more cut in dry where if the pass to the primary wasn't there you go into run mode. RPO. If Enos had a couple years to work with him then maybe he could make something out of the guy but thus far all he's done is tell pro scouts the dude isn't an NFL QB.

Brandon Allen also wasn't getting hit every other time he dropped back like KJ. That team gave up like only 13 sacks all year.

The OL this year gave up 11 sacks in the last two games.

That's putting together dumb and dumber.  Enos working with KJ would result in exactly what you saw last Saturday.

That was a needlessly tight formation with exactly no hope of doing anything. With that play design it virtually assures you'll have 11 in the box against your elite run/pass blockers offering zero misdirection...just drop back and wait for the tight-end #44 to completely blow blocking the guy coming from the edge.

Enos likes his window dressing so it's possible we were to line up in that tight formation and then have guys motion out of it...maybe the play clock was running down. IDK...weird but that's the only logical thing I can think of. We might have motioned into that abysmal play design...don't see the whole thing from break of the huddle to the 9 yard sack.

11 in the box but Bama still only sends like 5 people. Looks like it was meant to go to AJ Green on a little dump pass for a gain of nothing. Bama knew EXACTLY what we were going to run.
