Sunday Buzz is up now on their ap.

The Whyte Boar

Post on Tardville saying that Enos is out Monday and the tight ends coach will call plays and be the interim OC.

Who knows, but it is the first rumor post.

"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

Quote from: DrMongoose on Oct 22, 2023, 10:24 AMI don't get the give Pittman a nice settlement, he will do the right thing, he is loyal to the to UofA, etc bullshit.

Dude whined about his contract/salary, fires the agent who busted her ass to get him a chance at this job then hired Jimmy Sexton. Someone explain the loyalty there please.

We don't owe him a damn thing not in the new contract (which is a different argument).

He has mailed it in since he got his new deal - it has shown on the field and then he confirmed it with his post game press conference which was a Chad Morris level admission of having no clue.

The 9 win season was a fluke and again a win over a overhyped Teasip team was the only win over a ranked team that year. When will we learn (all of us) that while beating teasip is fun it doesn't mean anything?

It is a wonder college football has not bankrupted a university yet with all the stupid contracts and extensions given to football coaches.

Can we please hire a proven head coach who has won meaningful games?

I can only imagine the Gus talk will heat up then that crowd will start pimping Rhett Laslee, just watch.

when did he whine about his salary, i'd honestly like to see or hear it. no matter how misguided, he asked for a raise and got it.

and his changing agents is his business. dislike sexton all you want but if you were in that profession, you hire the best, not to do so makes you an idiot. loyalty has nothing to do with it when money is involved.

Son of Spam

I want a coach who comes in, evaluates the talent we have, and uses it as it should be used. Don't change the offense or defense if you don't have the personnel to run it. It isn't going to change as the season goes on. Win with who you have, then get the players to run your system later. We are trying to run a new offense that we can't learn fast enough. Enos is a dipshit for trying. We have talent, it just isn't being developed or used the way it should be. Enos...if your system isn't working, find one that does. We are going to suck again next year. Probably worse. I look for a lot of our guys who are worth a shit to say fuck this and portal out.
Well, shit...

I don't disagree with that at all but it changed the dynamic from when we originally hired him and now it's just "business is business".
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

Allegedly, and this comes from interviews both Enos and Pittman gave before the season, not super secret sources, Enos wanted to come in and modify his approach to the players we had on hand.  Pittman felt like we had a big enough turnover with all the new players on offense to make it worthwhile to go ahead and install  the new offense.

If that is what happened, then this is squarely on Pittman and I imagine Enos is is pretty damned butthurt to be getting the blame for something he didn't want to do in the first place.

When this is all said and done, I imagine in true Arkansas media fashion they will tell us that Pittman was a big meddler with both Briles and Enos.

three others on his staff, including both the coordinators, had sexton as an agent and not a peep was heard, even after they got raises.

fwiw, pittman said that the reason he went with sexton was to streamline the process because it was the same agent.

Shit, I don't think he meddles enough.

Kind of depends.  He ain't Petrino who could do any coordinator's or assistant's job better than the coordinator or the assistant.

If we're comparing bosses meddling with subordinates, I'd say Pittman is closer to the Michael Scott model than the Saban or Petrino model.

That's the kind of thing that follows him forever. Despite how we think of Enos now, he's not that dumb.

And now Enos has been fired. If that is all true then yeah Pittman goofed pretty good

This is what gets me. The line coach has trotted this shit out for 2 years yet Sam keeps talking about what a good coach the guy is. The dude has got to go too. Sam's CEO approach should give him plenty of time to coach the line himself.

Enos was just one part of the many problems with the team.

This is just to keep the normies in line to support Tits Lasso and stir the pot that he just needs another year to turn it around.

I don't really care about Sexton. Just pointing out that the "feel good story" narrative about Sam taking the job without asking the salary went out the window when he got a new contract(and yes, hired Sexton to do it. I don't blame Sam for doing it but that fully turned this right back into the cut throat business that it is. He doesn't get any goodwill now.

I really like the guy and would love to split a case of beer with him on the lake, unlike most of our previous asshole loser coaches. But he's just not a good head coach.

Quote from: Show-Me Hog on Oct 21, 2023, 05:19 PMI would do this if I was Pittman.

I would force it if I was Yurachek.

This move would at least indicate something is being tried.

I wonder which of these it was.
