Lol at anyone who thinks the Missouri game is going to dictate keeping or firing Sam. 

They are a top 10 program this year.  A blow out will be expected at this point. Anything less than a blow out will be positive for Sam. 

Let's suppose we win...you'll have the AD bumping his gums loud and clear in the open about how Sam is gonna turn it around next year. I highly doubt you'll hear much officially from Hunter until the season is over though. This all assumes the money bags have said NOPE on removing Sam which appears to be the groupthink narrative.

If/when we lose it'll just go down as a "Yeah they're really good" gee wiz can't really blame Sam for that. It's just extra salt in the wound that Missouri hired at the same time and is stink holing us on the reg.

The most practical thing here seems to be exactly what's going to happen. Sam will not "fall on his sword" like he said he would because there's too much incentive to make them make that decision for you. That doesn't mean we can't get better for next season. If I'm Sam I'm going to whoever is forking over the cash and flat out telling them if you keep me on then get out your fucking wallet so we can pay up for the best players.
